Achieving the rank of Black Belt at Hoovers Martial Arts is certainly a significant accomplishment. In many ways, it is also just the beginning of your training. As Black Belts, one of our responsibilities involves giving back and helping others to achieve their goals. That begins with instructor training.
Leadership provides you with an instructor-level understanding of the physical and technical skills required by our art as well as the methodology we employ to guide a student through their training.
Chief Master Hoover personally trains all of his instructors and his standards are very high. The process of becoming a Certified Instructor is not easy but if you're up to the task, you'll truly understand what it means to be a Black Belt by the time you've earned that black collar!
Who is eligible for Leadership?
You must be at least 13 years old and hold the Rank of Brown Belt to begin.

What is required to become a Certified Instructor?
There are three levels of leadership. Each level requires one year of study and 100 hours of teaching to complete. You will test out of each level at a scheduled Promotional testing.
